Email Settings for Outlook 2013:

  • Open Outlook and select File.
  • Click Add Account (or Account Settings/Change).
  • If Add, Check Manual setup or additional server types and click Next.
  • If Add, Select POP (or IMAP) and click Next.
  • Enter Your Name and E-mail Address.
  • Incoming and Outgoing Mail Server (mail.mydomainname.dom),
  • logon information (email address and password)
  • Select More Settings
  • Select Outgoing Server
  • check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication,
    use same settings as my incoming mail server..
  • Select Advanced.
  • Incoming server can remain as defaulted,
  • the Outgoing server (SMTP): must be set to 587
  • and the encrypted connection of type: SSL or TLS, if offered (it should be).
  • Click Close.


Each time Outlook is closed and reloaded, you may have to click yes to accept a secure certificate.
